Evil Geniuses Announce a New-Old Team

The Canadian powerhouse Evil Geniuses announced a new set of players since the original CS team was drafted to the Chicago Chimera during the CGS draft. According to their website EG have recruited a team consisting of six players of which three are new and three old faces.

The new EG Counter-Strike team will be represented by the following six:

Jesse "quickshot" Stevenson
Austin "cole" Townley
Ian "royle" Royle
Robert "blackpanther" Tyndale
Erik "da bears" Stromberg
Charlie "cbz" Pyo

Alex Garfield, Executive Director of Team EG, expressed happiness and talked a little bit about the new players in the official statement.

"It's been about 6 months since Erik parted ways with EG, and he was certainly missed during his time away from the organization. Fortunately, we were able to leave on good terms, and now that the opportunity has arisen to bring him back to EG, it was an easy decision to make. It's also a no-brainer to welcome Charlie Pyo, another of the most well-known players and leaders in North American history. We had actually considered recruiting Charlie on a number of different occasions over the past year - the possibility was always sort of up in the air, and I'm glad that he's finally on the team. Erik and Charlie are two big-name, stable additions to the EG 1.6 roster. In Jesse and Austin, we have two extremely promising, newer Canadian talents from the East and the West. Austin is very well known for his play with Eastern Canadian powerhouse DeadZone, and Jesse's the top up-and-coming prospect in all of Canada, in my opinion. We have a solid 6-deep lineup with this group of people."
