Fnatic LEC Update Rhuckz Advienne

Farewell Advienne & Rhuckz

Published: 06 Jun 2023

As our work into the LEC offseason continues, today we part ways with and say farewells to both Henk "Advienne" Reijenga and Rúben "Rhuckz" Barbosa, both serving as our support for the Winter and Spring splits respectively, releasing them onto new opportunities. Both have brought their best efforts to both Fnatic over the last two splits, but also our Fnatic TQ academy programme, and we’re thankful for all their contributions under both rosters.

Rhuckz joined us for Winter Split, but has played under the Black and Orange for much longer before that, being one of the faces of our TQ Academy Squad, and Fnatic Rising before that, being a staple member since early 2021. With consistency and strong performances across the NLC with Rising and the Superliga with TQ, he’s shown he's a capable and strong support capable of bringing huge amounts of value to any roster he’s paired with. Rúben also joined us for Worlds 2022 for two early play-in games, substituting in for Hylissang as we faced off against Evil Geniuses and Chiefs. Rhuckz put on a stellar , deathless performance and impressed with his strong, albeit short showing on the world stage. Winter Split didn’t pave out the way we intended, but we’re grateful for his efforts over the past years in every team and roster under the Fnatic banner.

Advienne also arrived to the main squad from Fnatic TQ, joining the LEC with huge ERL experience but also large-stage experience from his time on XL in 2021 and 2022. Advienne’s contributions to the squad cannot go undervalued, a true shotcaller and a huge impact on the team dynamic in Spring, allowing us to defy a brutal loss streak and qualify for group stage in true Fnatic fashion. Advienne has shown once again that he is a confident, vibrant support and truly belongs on the LEC stage, and we wish him all the best going forward finding his new home

A huge thank you to both Rhuckz and Advienne for all of their efforts on the bot-lane this year - we’re grateful for every match played under the Black and Orange and we have no doubts about both of their potentials and futures in League of Legends. Hopefully we’ll meet again on the Rift soon.

We’ll have more updates about the roster for Summer soon, and want to thank you for your continued support and patience during the offseason.

Once Fnatic, #ALWAYSFNATIC.
