Published: 01 Jun 2023

Fnatic, the London-based global esports performance brand, has today announced a multi-year global partnership with Sony’s INZONE gaming gear brand, to become the Official Gaming Headset and Monitor Partner for the world-leading organisation. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the gaming industry as the two powerhouses join forces to revolutionise gaming hardware.

Since July 2022, Sony has been providing gaming monitors and headsets under the name of INZONE to empower gamers to level up in competitive titles; leveraging a deep-rooted and unrivalled expertise in visual and audio technologies. The partnership works in synergy with Fnatic’s own history; being the most performant esports team globally since its foundation in 2004, as well as being a developer of its own in-house pro-performance grade gaming equipment.

As part of the long-term deal, Fnatic will collaborate closely with INZONE on future product concept and development, aiming to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience for players worldwide. By combining Fnatic's deep-rooted expertise in pro-gaming peripheral hardware alongside their vast pool of world-leading professional players, the collaboration promises to set new industry standards and push the boundaries of gaming innovation.

The announcement marks INZONE’s first global partnership with an esports team, leveraging Fnatic’s reach in key markets across UK, Europe, Japan, US and beyond. As part of the deal, INZONE’s logo will appear on the sleeve of all physical Fnatic team jerseys across their tier-one League of Legends, Valorant, Apex Legends, CSGO, FIFA and Rainbow Six teams based between London, Berlin, and Tokyo.

Alongside product concept and development collaboration, the agreement will see the co-creation of industry-defining content and on-and-offline activations for over 30 million Fnatic fans worldwide. The partnership will also allow INZONE direct access and integration with Fnatic’s biggest gaming creators across the world, including SPYGEA, Tekkz, Loeya, Moonryde, Pow3r and more.

Sony’s INZONE joins ASOS, Hisense, Jack Link’s, Crypto.com, and Chillblast as global partners for the elite esports organisation in 2023.

Fnatic CEO, Sam Mathews, said:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome INZONE into the Fnatic family as a long-term partner of our organisation. During our initial discussions, it became clear how strong the alignment is between our brands; from Sony’s leading innovation in technology and our own 18+ year legacy as a world leader in esports and gaming performance."

"Together we look forward to exciting the audience, pushing the boundaries in both product development through our world-class roster of players and amplification of the INZONE brand globally via our unrivalled fanbase of over 30+ million worldwide.”

Hiroshi Nakamura, Head of Personal Entertainment Product Business Division, Sony Corporation said:
We are excited to be partnering with Fnatic, the world leader in esports scene to pioneer new gaming experiences for esports players and all the gaming lovers,” said Hiroshi Nakamura, Head of Personal Entertainment Business Unit, Sony Corporation. “Now by the combination of Sony’s cutting-edge visual and audio technologies and Fnatic’s unparalleled expertise, we are engineering the multiple initiatives with Fnatic such as the co-creation of gaming gears and content activations, that will add a completely new dimension to gaming life. One of our corporate directions is “getting closer to people”, and in this context, getting closer to the gaming community. We are sincerely wishing to energise and support the gaming community through this partnership, as a member of the Fnatic family.”
